He took his stage name from Brandon Lee, the deceased son of martial arts actor Bruce Lee. Brandon Lee, however, is of Chinese-Filipino descent. Lee also performed under the name Sean Martinez early in his career. He is noted as being the first major Asian porn actor to be honored by the western mainstream adult film industry.
He lived for a time in Miami, Florida where he worked in a hotel, later enlisting in the United States Navy. After serving a tour of duty in Iraq, he left the Navy and returned to porn in 2005.
